I love making decoration for a birthday party. Someone asked me to make these decorations for a First Birthday. The little girl loved Minnie Mouse, so the parent asked me to use Minnie for the decoration and instead of black and pink. I was to use gold and pink. I used my Cricutto make all the cutouts.
Center Pieces: Mason Jars I sprayed painted pink (inside). I played flower foam inside the jar to hold the stick and covered it with pink tissue papers (no picture of the inside). I added the child name to the large gold Minnie Mouse cutouts.
First Year Banner: I used the Pennant cartilage and created the shape in the design studio. I used a free font on the program to create the numbers. The parent sent me a picture for each month and included a newborn picture. I hot glued the banner to the ribbon. I have punched holes in the banner and laced it through but occasionally I will hot glue the banner.
I Am One Banner: I created this banner to hang in front of the high chair.
Picture Frames: I picked up these framed at the Dollar Store (years ago). I sprayed painted them pink. I used these frames for multiple events.
(I wish I would have brought all the frames they are perfect. They are wooden and originally orange.)
Tissue Paper Pom Pom: Using gold and pink tissue paper to create the small pompom. I tied the ribbon around the center of the pompom. I googled to find an example on how to cut the tissue papers.
The party was a not a big gathering, so the decorations were light and we ended up having it at the child home instead at another location as planned.
